1. About Us

These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by JC Cars (“we”, “us”, “our”).
We specialise in vehicle diagnostics, coding, programming, and related automotive electronic services.

By booking or using our services, you (“the customer”, “you”) agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services Provided

We provide vehicle-related services including but not limited to:
• ECU programming and coding
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Software updates and retrofits
• Immobiliser and key programming
• Use of manufacturer (“dealer-level”) tools and third-party remote programming systems

All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

3. Customer Responsibilities

You agree that:
• You are authorised to request work on the vehicle
• The vehicle is in a suitable condition for diagnostic/programming work
• You provide accurate information about faults and prior repairs
• You understand that electronic vehicle systems can be complex and unpredictable

Failure to provide accurate information may affect results and outcomes.

4. Nature of Programming Services

Vehicle programming and diagnostics involve interaction with complex electronic systems.

You acknowledge that:
• Results cannot always be guaranteed
• Pre-existing faults or hidden issues may prevent successful programming
• Some modules or systems may fail during programming due to age, condition, or prior damage
• Certain procedures depend on third-party systems outside our control
• Under NO circumstances do we provide any warranty for parts supplied by the customer

We will always act with reasonable care and professionalism, but outcomes are not guaranteed.

5. No Refund Policy – Programming Services

Strictly no refunds will be given for the following services:
• Programming procedures requiring online dealer tools
• Programming procedures requiring third-party remote programming services

This is because:
• These services incur non-refundable charges, including access fees, tokens, and licensing costs
• Costs are applied regardless of whether the programming is successful or unsuccessful
• We are charged for attempting the procedure, not just for the outcome

By proceeding with such services, you explicitly agree that:
• You will be charged in full
• No refunds will be issued under any circumstances relating to outcome

This does not affect your statutory rights where services are not carried out with reasonable care and skill.

6. Pricing & Payment
• Prices will be confirmed before work begins where possible
• Some services are charged based on time, complexity, or system access costs
• Payment is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed
• We reserve the right to request payment in advance for certain services

7. Cancellation Policy
• Cancellations must be made with reasonable notice
• We reserve the right to charge for missed appointments or late cancellations
• Any pre-paid booking fees may be non-refundable where costs have already been incurred

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
• We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or failures
• We are not liable for failures caused by third-party systems, manufacturer servers, or vehicle condition

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:
• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Any rights you have under UK consumer law

9. Warranty / Guarantee
• We do not guarantee that programming will resolve all faults
• Any warranty provided will be limited to the specific service carried out
• No warranty is given where failures are due to unrelated or pre-existing issues

10. Data & Vehicle Access

You consent to:
• Accessing your vehicle’s electronic systems
• Using third-party platforms where required
• Temporary data interaction necessary to complete programming

We do not store personal vehicle data beyond what is necessary for service records.

11. Third-Party Services

Some services rely on third-party providers.
We are not responsible for:
• Downtime or failures of external systems
• Delays caused by third-party platforms
• Costs imposed by third parties

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
