Programming
If you have an ECU problem with a VW Group vehicle you will be aware that the Engine ECU (ECM) and Immobiliser (BCM / Instrument cluster) are programmed to each other (Locked). A diagnostic scanner used by garages & workshops is not capable of re-programming secondhand units, however we are able to bench program (Data swap or 'clone') secondhand units enabling them to be re-used needing no further programming necessary. We stock various VW Group ECU's, if we don't have your unit available we offer a cloning service if you can supply a donor unit - all you have to do is simply send us your original & donor units. We also offer a Europe wide mail order service.

VW Group ECU Cloning

If you need to replace either the engine ECU or Instrument cluster on a modern VW group vehicle you will be aware that they are synchronized (Locked) to each other and are not interchangeable with second-hand units, however we are able to ‘clone’ (Bench program) second-hand ECU units by transferring data files from the original faulty unit to the replacement donor unit enabling a second-hand unit to be fitted with no further programming necessary meaning the original keys will work and in the case of instrument clusters the correct mileage will be displayed.

VW Group Instrument cluster Programming
Do you have a faulty VW, Audi, Seat or Skoda dashboard (Instrument cluster)? These are a common item to fail, common faulty cluster binnacles are the VW Golf, Polo and Audi A3, A4 & TT. Typical problem is dead gauges and quite often car failing to start with fault codes indicating no communication with cluster – This is where key information is held, as you may be aware you cannot simply replace VW clusters with second-hand units as these are programmed to your engine ECU. The solution? We can re-program a second hand cluster to your vehicle by transferring the data from your original faulty cluster onto a replacement unit. Simply send us your faulty unit and a secondhand donor unit and we will return you a cloned cluster which will plug in and work with no further programming necessary of keys etc. We also transfer mileage data as well so your replacement unit will display vehicles correct mileage reading. If you have already installed an instrument cluster or have fitted an ECU kit we also offer many mileage correction services for VW based vehicles

Audi TT / Audi A3 99,999 Miles Fix

Do you have an Audi TT with a failing Jaeger instrument cluster display screen or fuel & temp gauge needles giving incorrect readings? Usual faults are missing pixels and fuel gauge reading higher than real value. We can fix this! As you may be aware you will be unable to replace instrument cluster with a secondhand unit as these are programmed to your car, solution is to drop your cluster into us for refurbishment, we will strip your faulty unit, replace display screen, repair the cluser circuit board and update software

As well as ECU ploning & instrument cluster repairs we regularly ‘clone’ body control modules (BCMs) for all VW group cars, simply bring us your original BCM and a donor part with the same part number & we can transfer the data from your original BCM to the donor part. Audi Electronic Steering Lock Programming Service

Airbag ECU Crash data / Cloning
We can remove crash data from most airbag control units fitted to VW, Audi, Seat & Skoda vehicles. Crash data needs to be removed from SRS control units after a car has had collision and a safety feature has been activated such as seat belt pre-tensioners, airbags, fuel cut-off systems etc. This usually appears as the airbag warning light being illuminated and fails to extinguish when garages try to clear fault codes with a standard diagnostic scanner. Simply remove your airbag control unit, bring it to us for stripping and re-programming.
This is NOT a repair service for an airbag module that has hardware faults or has ‘No communications’ with the vehicle systems or diagnostic tools. If your VW / Audi / Seat / Skoda airbag ECU has ‘No comms’ with diagnostic tools we can extract the vehicle data from your original faulty airbag ECU & transfer it onto a secondhand replacement unit.
