We
regularly undertake vehicle diagnostics and specialist
electronic repairs including electronic control module
replacement to Renault vehicles some of which are
detailed below. If you have an Engine control module
(ECU), Body control module (BCM or UCH) or Instrument cluster problem with your
Renault you will be aware that a secondhand unit cannot
be simply fitted as it has to be re-programmed to your
vehicle. A diagnostic scanner used by garages &
workshops is not capable of programming secondhand ECU's
& BCM's, however we are able to 'clone' (Bench program)
or in some cases 'Virginise' secondhand units so they
will work on your vehicle with no further programming
necessary to the keys etc thus making them 'Plug &
Play'. (A virginised unit will self code to your cars
immobiliser system once fitted and when the key is
turned o for the first time in less than 1 minute). We have hundreds of ECU's in stock, if we don't
have the unit you need we also offer an ECU cloning
service if you can source one for your car, a Europe
wide mail order service available - ECU cloning starts

Various Renault
vehicles use a control system called a 'Body
control module' - These come in various types
ranging from the Renault Clio that uses a Sagem
unit called a 'UCH' on the earlier models and
later models using a Johnson controls 'BCM-L2xx'
type - Other Renaults such as the Laguna &
Megane typically use a Siemens BCM system.
Whichever system is fitted to your car if you
have a faulty unit a replacement is difficult as
the immobiliser for the car is programmed into
these units and a secondhand part from a
breakers yard or Ebay will not simply plug in &
work - in fact the car will not even start!
Don't panic.. We have the solution! - we are
able to clone secondhand Renault Body control
modules & UCH units by transferring data from
the original unit to the donor unit 'Cloning' as
its known, once programmed by us the donor unit
will plug straight in &work on your vehicle with
no further programming necessary. Please call us

Renault Megane Steering lock

Are you having problems
with your Renault Megane Electronic steering
lock (ESL)? - These items regularly fail with
common symptoms including the lock not releasing
or not locking eventually leading to the car not
starting when the 'Keycard' is inserted into the
card slot - Other problems can be a message on
the dashboard stating 'Steering not locked'
which leads to an MOT failure. You may have
already been searching how to replace the ESL on
your Renault and discovered that you cannot
simply replace the unit with a secondhand unit
sourced from a breakers yard as they are coded
to the vehicles immobiliser system - Don't
worry, we have the solution! simply send us your
original steering lock and a donor unit and we
will transfer your vehicle data from your
original ESL & program the replacement unit
(Cloning). The replacement ESL can then be
fitted to your car and your car will then start
& run and the steering lock will function
properly - We can also virginise a used ESL if
the original has been lost or the data is not
retrievable, in thiss case the ESL will
'Self-code to your immobiliser on first start up
- This method of ESL repair is far better than
fitting an ESL 'Emulator' which is not MOT legal

Renault Megane mk3

secondhand ABS pump / ecu to various Renault
models particularly the Renault Megane
mk3 (Phase 3) and it had a higher mileage than
your car you will have a problem with the
mileage changing on your instrument cluster to
the higher mileage of the secondhand unit -

your dashboard display without the need of
fitting a CAN blocker! We can simply do the
whole job via the OBD socket on your car without

Electronic Power
Steering units or 'EPS' is fitted to various
Renault cars such as the Clio 3, Clio 4, Modus,
Megane 3, Scenic 3, Twingo 3 and Captur - If
your Renault EPS unit is faulty (Usually the PAS
or 'Power steering goes really heavy) then you
may want to save hundreds of pounds by fitting a
second-hand EPS sourced from a breakers yard or
Ebay... Problem is they are programmed to the
immobiliser and has the VIN number (Chassis
number) locked to the vehicle it was removed
from and won't work on you car once fitted -
Don't panic!, we have the solution - Simply send
us the donor unit & we can virginise it and
program your VIN number to the unit thus
enabling it to be re-used on your car, after we
have reprogrammed the second-hand unit it will
self code to your vehicle on first start up,

Renault Airbag Crash data removal |
|

We can remove crash data from most airbag
control units fitted to Renault
vehicles. Crash data
needs to be removed from SRS control units after a car has had
collision and a safety feature
has been activated such as seat belt pre-tensioners, airbags, fuel
cut-off systems etc. This usually
appears as the airbag warning light being illuminated and fails to
extinguish when garages try to
clear fault codes with a standard diagnostic scanner. Simply remove
your airbag control unit, bring
it to us for stripping and re-programming and usually it will be
ready for collection within 24 hours.
