Programming
If you have an ECU problem with a Mercedes vehicle you will be aware that the Engine ECU (ECM) and Immobiliser (BCM / BSI) are programmed to each other (Locked). A diagnostic scanner used by garages & workshops is not capable of re-programming secondhand units, however we are able to bench program (Data swap or 'clone') secondhand units enabling them to be re-used needing no further programming necessary. We stock various Mercedes ECU's, if we don't have your unit available we offer a cloning service if you can supply a donor unit - all you have to do is simply send us your original & donor units. We also offer a Europe wide mail order service.

Mercedes EIS Test / Cloning Service
Do you own a Mercedes with a suspected faulty EIS (Electronic Ignition Switch) – Common faults are that the electronic ‘infra red’ key is not recognized when inserted into the switch with no ignition lights displayed on the dashboard, usually the key does not turn in the ignition switch. We can help – firstly we have a test bench rig where your key & EIS can be bench tested & if necessary we can clone (Transfer data) from your faulty EIS onto a working second hand unit – I f necessary we can also test & program new mercedes Infra red keys for a fraction of the cost of a new key from the main dealer. we offer this process ‘in house’ at our workshop in Norwich & offer a UK wide postal service – Please call us for more information or click on the link below to view our postal services on our online shop

Mercedes ESL Test / Emulator supply
Many Mercedes model cars suffer from failing Electronic Steering Locks or more commonly known as ‘ESL’ – replacement ESL units are very costly & require specialist tools to program them to your car if they are W204 / W207 / W212 W447 or W176models, a simple alternative is to disconnect the ESL & fit an emulator. The emulators for these models still require programming to your vehicle but are a fraction of the cost of replacing the ESL with a new one. All you need to do is remove the ‘EIS’ (Electronic Ignition switch) & send it to us along with a working key for your car & we will program an emulator that will plug into your existing wiring with no need for further programming thus eliminating the need to replace the ESL. In some cases the ESL will be jammed in the ‘Locked’ position, if you cannot remove it yourself then you can send us the column with the jammed lock & we can remove it for you. Common symptoms of a failed ESL is that the key will turn in the EIS but no ignition lights come on, the car does not crank & there isn’t the familiar noise of the steering lock disengaging, there may be a fault code stored in the EIS of ‘Fault with or No comms with ESL’ but not always.

Mercedes ECU Programming
If you have an ECU fault with your Mercedes you will be aware that you cannot simply replace your faulty ECU with a secondhand unit as they are programmed (Locked) to your immobiliser system. However we are able to re-program a secondhand ECU by transferring the data files from your original faulty unit. This is known as ‘Bench programming’ or ‘cloning’ the donor unit will then simply ‘plug & play’ with no further programming necessary using your original keys and displaying its correct mileage. We have hundreds of ECU’s in stock, please call us to see if we have a compatible unit for your vehicle available. If we don’t have a unit in stock or if you have already purchased a secondhand unit & need us to program it to your car we offer an ECU ‘cloning’ service.

Mercedes Instrument Cluster Programming
If you have a faulty Instrument cluster on your Merecedes vehicle, for example it may be water damaged or have a blown component. and you are looking to replace the cluster on these vehicles you may be aware that you cannot simply remove one from another vehicle & install it onto yours as the cluster is ‘Locked’ to a different vehicles electronic / immobilizer system and the mileage will be wrong. We have the solution! Simply send us your original (Faulty) cluster & the donor (Replacement) unit & we will transfer the data from your original to the replacement enabling the used unit to work on your vehicle with no further programming necessary. Once the donor unit has been programmed (Cloned) the coding of the unit will be correct & the car will start & function as it should. The mileage display will show the correct mileage of your car & the central locking etc will be unaffected & operate correctly. If you have a faulty SAM unit Unit (BCM) on your Mercedes ? Smart car, for example it may be water damaged or have a blown component and are looking to replace the unit you may be aware that you cannot simply remove a unit from another vehicle & install it onto yours as the unit is ‘Locked’ to a different vehicles electronic / immobilizer system. We have the solution! Simply send us your original (Faulty) unit & the donor (Replacement) unit & will will transfer the data from your original to the replacement enabling the used unit to work on your vehicle with no further programming necessary. In most cases we can extract the necessary data whether your original unit is completely dead with ‘No communication’ with a diagnostic scanner. Once the donor unit has been programmed (Cloned) your vehicle will then start & run, the mileage display & the central locking etc will be unaffected & operate as it should.

Airbag ECU Crash data / Cloning
We can remove crash data from most airbag control units fitted to Mercedes vehicles. Crash data needs to be removed from SRS control units after a car has had collision and a safety feature has been activated such as seat belt pre-tensioners, airbags, fuel cut-off systems etc. This usually appears as the airbag warning light being illuminated and fails to extinguish when garages try to clear fault codes with a standard diagnostic scanner. Simply remove your airbag control unit, bring it to us for stripping and re-programming.
