We have had over 30 years experience of working on Vauxhall cars from early Chevettes right up to the newest Corsas, we have always invested in the latest diagnostic equipment therefore keeping up to date with any needs you may have to keep your Vauxhall running in top order. Diagnosing engine management faults, ABS faults, Airbag faults etc is a daily task for us both for the public and for the motor trade. Programming
If you have an ECU problem with a Vauxhall vehicle you will be aware that the Engine ECU (ECM) and Immobiliser (BCM / BSI) are programmed to each other (Locked). A diagnostic scanner used by garages & workshops is not capable of re-programming secondhand units, however we are able to bench program (Data swap or 'clone') secondhand units enabling them to be re-used needing no further programming necessary. We stock various Vauxhall ECU's, BCMs, CIM units etc -if we don't have your unit available we offer a cloning service if you can supply a donor unit - all you have to do is simply send us your original & donor units. We also offer a Europe wide mail order service.

Vauxhall ECU Cloning
If you need to replace the engine ECU Vauxhall vehicle you will be aware that it is locked to the immobiliser system & not interchangeable with second-hand units, however we are able to ‘clone’ (Bench program) second-hand ECU units by transferring data files from the original faulty unit to the replacement donor unit enabling a second-hand unit to be fitted with no further programming necessary meaning the original keys will work
We can re-program nearly all secondhand ECU’s by all ECU manufacturers to all models of Vauxhall even if you have no immobiliser pin codes available and also if the donor ECU has not been ‘divorced’ from donor vehicle.

Vauxhall ECU PIN reading /Tech2 Resetting
PIN code retrieval (Decoding) / Resetting service of secondhand ECUs
If you have your own vauxhall programming equipment such as Tech2 or Opcom you will be aware that you will need the PIN code of the donor ECU or the donor ECU will need to be ‘Tech2 resert’ – otherwise know as being ‘divorced’ from its original vehicle. We are able to extract the ECU’s PIN code so it can be reset & programmed to another vehicle with Opcom / tech2 – in some cases we can reset (Virginise) the ECU ready for diagnostic programming with Tech2 / Op-Com etc..

Vauxhall CIM Unit programming
Vectra C, Astra H & Zafira B CIM Unit fitting & programming
The CIM unit (Column Integrated Modue) otherwise know as the column switches or squib unit fitted to Vauxhall Astra H / zafira B regularly fail, often the first fault is problems with the horn button operating the stereo volume controls and vice versa. Eventually a total failure can occur causing immobiliser faults leading to a ‘No crank’ situation & a flashing of the key recognition light on the dashboard. These units are programmed to your immobiliser and therefore if you need to replace one with a used part they will not simply plug in and work without being re-programmed. We are able to program secondhand Astra H / Zafira B & Vectra C CIM units with or without pin numbers being present. We offer this service by post in our online shop or you can bring the vehicle to us for removal & refit of the unit as well as programming.
PIN code retrieval & Tech 2 reseting – If you need to program a CIM unit with Opcom or tech2 you will need the donor units PIN number to reset & program this unit, if you have purchased a replacement CIM unit without it being ‘divorced’ (reset) you will need the PIN extracted or the unit Tech2 reset to enable programming. We are able to do this! Simply send us your unit and we will return it with correct PIN or reset if you prefer ready for programming with Opcom / Tech2.
CIM unit Cloning – If you don’t have programming equipment we can clone (Bench program) Vectra C, Astra H & Zafira B CIM units. Simply send us your old faulty unit and your replacement donor unit and we can transfer data from your original faulty unit onto your replacement enabling your new unit to be ‘Plug & Play’ with no further programming necessary

Vauxhall REC & UEC Programming
Vauxhall Astra H / Zafira B Rear Electical Centre (REC) & Underhood electrical centre (UEC)
The ‘Underhood Electrical Centre’ (UEC or underbonnet fusebox) & ‘Rear Electrical Centre’ (REC or luggage compartment fusebox) is an immobiliser related component on the vauxhall astra H / Zafira B & therefore a secondhand replacement unit cannot be swapped from a donor vehicle without either being tech2 reset by using the donor vehicles PIN code. We offer a PIN code extraction service by post enabling a secondhand part to be reset (Divorced) and programmed onto a vehicle using Opcom / Tech2. Simply send us your unit and we will return it with correct PIN ready for resetting
If you don’t have programming equipment we can clone (Bench program or ‘clone’) REC’s & UEC’s. If you have purchased a BCM from a breakers yard or eBay without its pin number & need to program it we can retrieve its pin number (decode) or reset it ready for programming

If you have a faulty Electronic steering rack (EPS) on your Vauxhall Astra J / Zafira C / Insignia you may be aware that you cannot simply remove a unit from another vehicle & install it onto yours as the unit is ‘Locked’ to a different vehicles electronic / immobilizer system. We have the solution! Simply send us your original (Faulty) EPS unit & the donor (Replacement) EPS unit & will will transfer the data from your original to the replacement enabling the used EPS unit to work on your vehicle with no further programming necessary. If you have already fitted the donor rack & realized that the donor unit does not function, don’t worry – we can read the data from your original EPS unit on the bench & transfer the data by OBD – this will require you to bring the vehicle to our workshop in Norwich.

Vauxhall Stereo & Display Programming

PIN code retrieval from Stereos while off the vehicle – Available for CDR500, CDR2005, CD30 CD30/MP3, CDC40, CD60,CD70, DAB, Displays – TID (Triple Info Display) BID (Board info Display – 3 line CD screen) GID/CID (Graphical or Colour info display – DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast). manufactured by Blaupunkt, Delphi Grundig & Siemens.
Resetting stereos – If you are attempting to program a CD30 / CD40 / CD50 or CD60 stereo to your car with Opcom you may be aware that they have to be reset first to ‘Delivery state’ also known as being ‘unregistered’ – if not they will display a ‘SAFE’ message on the display screen after fitting. We can reset virtually all stereos back to this state ready for programming with Opcom or similar – call or details
Programming whilst in vehicle – Necessary when fitting stereos on newer canbus based vehicles. Even when pin code are supplied with secondhand units, the pin code will not ‘unlock’ the stereo – the pin is used to program a stereo to you car with diagnostic equipment. (This can process can be bypassed if you have the original stereo & replacement unit present).
Stereo / Display Cloning – Send us your old (Faulty) stereo and your replacement unit and we can transfer data enabling your new unit to be ‘Plug & Play’ with no further programming necessary
CD300 / CD400 Stereo programming – Fitted to newer Vauxhall vehicles such as the Astra ‘J’ & Insignia Stereos manufactured by Panasonic are security protected in a different way than previous types fitted to Vauxhall – these units do not use a PIN code at all, instead they have the VIN number of the vehicle programmed into the main stereo ‘Head unit’ – the front panel & display screen are ‘slave units’ and do not require programming – replacement units will need stripping & reprogramming before they will work in different vehicles – unlike earlier models they cannot be swapped along with the display to make them work – we can re-program a second-hand CD400 or similar Panasonic stereo to work in your car – simply send us your replacement stereo ‘Head unit’ along with your cars VIN (Chassis number) and we will send you back your Stereo ready to ‘Plug & Play’ in just a few days

Vauxhall Airbag ECU Programming
Crash data removal – We can remove crash data and ‘Internal control module fault’ from most airbag control units fitted to Vauxhall vehicles, in some cases by OBD with no need to remove airbag ECU. Crash data needs to be removed from SRS control units after a car has had collision and a safety feature has been activated such as seat belt pre-tensioners, airbags, fuel cut-off systems etc. This usually appears as the airbag warning light being illuminated and fails to extinguish when garages try to clear fault codes with a standard diagnostic scanner. Simply remove your airbag control unit, bring it to us for stripping and re-programming
Airbag ECU replacement – New or secondhand Airbag ECU’s fitted and programmed. Most airbag ECUs are are programmed to your vehicles electronic syatem or immobiliser and therefore if you need to replace one with a used part they will not simply plug in and work without being re-programmed. We are able to program secondhand Airbag ECU’s with or without pin numbers being present.
Corsa D Airbag ECU ‘PIN’ Retrieval & cloning – If you are looking for how to replace a faulty airbag ECU (SDM) on a Corsa D you may be aware they are programmed to the immobiliser and if a secondhand replacement is fitted without being programmed to your vehicle the car will be immobilised & not start. You will therefore need the PIN code of the unit to enable it to be ‘Reset’ and then programmed to your vehicle, ‘Opcom’ or ‘Tech2’ are the standard devices used to program these units but you will need the PIN code of the donor unit to do this – we can extract the PIN code of a donor unit thus allowing you to program reset & program the module successfully – Simply send us your donor unit and we will return it with the necessary code in just a few days alternatively we offer an airbag cloning service where we transfer the data from your original faulty airbag ECU onto a donor unit which then will not need further programming once installed into your vehicle.
